Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

How this site makes money, in plain terms, and what it does and does not change about what you read here.

The short version

Some links on Weekend Prague are affiliate links. If you click one and book something, the company pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price as you would going direct — the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not out of your pocket.

Which links are affiliate links

Every affiliate link on this site goes through an address beginning /link/ and is marked up as sponsored. At the time of writing, the partner is GetYourGuide, used for tours, tickets and day trips.

Links to transport operators, official city sources, museums and restaurants are not affiliate links. Neither is anything in the body text of an article unless it is one of the marked buttons.

What it does not change

  • It does not change what we recommend. The pages on this site spend more words telling you what is free than what to book.
  • It does not change the order things appear in. Nobody pays for placement here.
  • It does not change a price you are quoted. Affiliate pricing is identical to direct pricing.
  • It does not mean we have been paid to write anything. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not run sponsored posts.

Why this notice appears above the links

On any page carrying an affiliate link, this disclosure appears near the top rather than buried in the footer. That is the standard the US Federal Trade Commission expects, and it is the right way round in any case: you should know how a page is funded before you read its recommendations, not after.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, with consent handled through the cookie banner and analytics storage denied until you agree. We also record when an affiliate link is clicked, so we can tell which recommendations people act on. See the privacy policy for detail.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think a link is not labelled correctly, please get in touch. Read more about the site’s approach on the about page.
