How consent works here
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make a choice, analytics storage, ad storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are all set to denied. If you accept statistics cookies, analytics storage is updated to granted and measurement begins from that point. If you decline, it stays denied.
Changing your choice
Use the cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the banner and change your preferences at any time. You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser, which resets everything including the record of your consent, so you will be asked again.
Third-party cookies when you click out
When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set its own cookies on its own site to attribute the referral. That happens on their domain, under their policy, and only if you choose to click. Which links those are is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
Why we keep this short
A cookie policy is only useful if it is accurate about the specific site you are reading. This one is short because the site is simple: there are no accounts, no newsletter, no advertising network, no embedded social media widgets and no tracking pixels. The only optional thing running here is Google Analytics, and it stays switched off unless you switch it on.
If that changes — if we ever add advertising, an embedded booking widget or anything that loads third-party code into the page — this page changes with it, before the change goes live rather than after.
